About Take Care of Your Own Pursuer

The premise inverts the genre: the thing you are looking after is a pursuer. That reframing is doing more work here than any mechanical change. It is the newest entry in the collection by some margin β€” published months after the wave of remixes that followed the original β€” and the smallest by play count.

What Just_Silly05 says about it

The author credits the original game, is clear that the Pursuer character belongs to someone else rather than to them, and openly flags that the build has a bug you will probably run into.

What to know before you start

  • Hunger drains fastest at 0.5% per second β€” it is the meter to watch first.
  • Energy falls at 0.3%, hygiene at 0.2%, and health only slips once hunger or energy drops under 20%.
  • Nothing in the game tells you the right move. Neglect is a valid way to play it.

Questions about Take Care of Your Own Pursuer

Who made Take Care of Your Own Pursuer?
A Scratch user called Just_Silly05, as project #1264738581. It is a remix of TAKE CARE OF YOUR OWN SHADOW MILK! by GPE_sb3, so the underlying code is GPE_sb3's work and the character and art changes are Just_Silly05's.
Is Take Care of Your Own Pursuer free to play?
Yes. It runs in the browser through the official Scratch player embedded on this page, with no download, no install and no account. You can also play it directly on Scratch at https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1264738581/.
How do you play Take Care of Your Own Pursuer?
You look after a character whose four meters β€” hunger, energy, hygiene and health β€” drain in real time whether or not you are watching. Feeding, washing, resting and playing each move different meters by different amounts. Hunger falls fastest, at roughly half a percent per second, and health only starts slipping once hunger or energy drops below twenty percent. Nothing in the interface tells you the correct move, and neglecting the character is a valid way to play it.
How popular is Take Care of Your Own Pursuer?
As recorded on 5 August 2026 it had 21 plays and 2 loves on Scratch, where it was first shared on 14 January 2026. These are Scratch's own public counters, so they will have moved since.
Is Take Care of Your Own Pursuer the same as the original Shadow Milk game?
No. It shares the original's code and four-meter structure, but the character, artwork and often the pacing are different. If you want the version everything else here descends from, play Take Care of Your Own Shadow Milk instead.
